Caught between the tigers, covered by Diesel Dahl and friends, with ronni on guitar and Jorn Lande on vocals. Great Idea, huh! Let's forward it to the developers!

Guitar Hero. Is that a show, a magazine, or a website? (Or all three, mayhap?)

No, it's a game on Playstation 2

Got nothing to do with playing the guitar, I might add. But lots of fun.

I'm not sure it will be suitable, because trying to copy Ronni's riffs on the controller will leave the controller in shreds after few minutes. ( No pun intended..)

I don't think there is enough memory on that game to actually hold a TNT song. The guitar controller couldn't handle it. Laughing

How detailed are the graphics on the virtual on screen guitar and the functions of its controller? Just too slow, is it?

Nice to meetcha Caligirl...

As all games, I guess this one will for sure increase your strength in your fingers..guess thats something..secondly, I would believe it could improve your coordination between picking and fingering hand. Anway, its a game, so for sure you would not become a better guitarplayer Smile But, a lots of fun (after a while, when you feel you master the Easy level...). My favourite on Guitar Hero 2 must be YYZ by Rush..really complicated, but cool, rythm to play along with.

Just to show you all how it's done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW_Zkc7WAS8

About 35 seconds into the song he TURNS AWAY FROM THE TV !!! I've played this game alot, and this is the most wicked thing I've ever seen. The kid must be a guitar autistic or something... That said and meant in the most positive way.

PS. Showed this clip to Ronni who was very impressed with how this game is training hand-eye coordination, something that is very useful in many aspect of life. Wink

Any venue to promote TNT music is good, so maybe this is an idea worth exploring. But hmmm... I am so not a video game person... I saw the clip and I wondered wtf? Is it really that difficult? Does any of the hand-eye translate to actual guitar? I mean, give me an oldskool centipede arcade game and I am perfectly happy... Of course, I seem to recall being able to rock-da-house with Nintendo's Double Dragon Wink

PS anybody remember that Space Invaders bit on the Pretenders album way back when dirt was new? ...

You do "chords" by using your left hand, and hit the "strings" with your right, both upwards and downwards as you would on a real guitar. There is no similarities to actual chords, but the finger of the left hand, and the movements of the right hand are spot on. It's about training, remembering patterns and "licks", scales and pick movement. Coordinating the movements is identical to playing a guitar. "Hitting" the note is essential.
