The radio show thingie consists of three tracks.
1. Ding Ding-a-Ding
2. Think Twice (Celine Dion cover)
3. Baby I Love You

The Celine Dion cover came up because the host of the show (for the first time I might add) decided that the guests on the show should perform the song which was topping the chart. On that day, that was Celine Dion with Think Twice... And as usual, Jørn Lande proves that he can sing ANYTHING, and sing it well... The backing of Steinar, Dag, Morten and Ronni was more than convincing...

Pest, you so absolutely rock! That made my weekend right there. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Vagabond was a massively under-rated and overlooked band that should've had a much greater impact on the international music scene. At least it introduced the mighty voice of Jorn Lande to the world, so some good came of it all...as well as two of the ultimate rock albums in my collection. Smile

Tusen takk for the rock!

Skål...

That's so true. I'm a HUGE fan of the Scandinavian melodic rock scene, and I have some great cd's by Norwegian bands that I consider some of the best hard rock I've ever heard. Among those was the tragically overlooked Dream Police (Trond Holter's guitars on the first release were really killer!), Sons Of Angels (which had a minor hit in the U.S. with "Cowgirl" [cool to hear a Ronni solo make it on the radio here]), and Hangman Jury. The "Who Do U Think U R?" lp, and the small 4-track ep, I have from Hangman Jury is such feel-good rock music (In fact, I had to pull it out and listen while typing this). Those guys really should have been heard more widely, and I think they would've done good here in the U.S. with some promotion in the 90's. Guitarist Ken Ingwersen's various bands have all been awesome: Rags, Speed, and Street Legal. Fans of Tekrø should check out the first two bands, which feature some scary guitar playing. Also, Millenya's "Time Has Come" cd has a sort of Vagabond-ish vibe to its light progressive rock sound.

Lots o' good music in Norway for sure, and lots of it kept pretty secret...not by choice, I'm sure.

Thanks again for this great stuff.i can't stop listening to the cover version of Think Twise!JORN is amazing. He could sing anything just like you said my friend.Too bad he is not doing anything with Ronnie. They could do great things together.
The only thing i haven't heard from JORN is his guesting on TOR TALLE cd "songs from the heart"
He sings 2 songs and i heard only the soundclips at Tor Talle's page long ago.
Does anyone has these songs?

That's the 1999 promo/demo release Tor did for record companies and people in the music industry. The two songs Jorn participates on are "Don't Turn Away" and "After Love".

"Don't Turn Away" also ended up on the Northern Light release, but with Peter Sundell on lead vocals instead of Jorn. To pick up this release, check the availble options at http://www.tortalle.com/northern_light.htm

I think that Songs from the heart was released in a limited edition about 1500 copies because if i found it 2-3 times on ebay but the price was very high!
I found this info:http://www.compendia.no/web/ron/ron.nsf/1035c727a2ed2e53c1256e2c0029bc3d/87a813183093bd82c1256eef006bf155?OpenDocument

Tor says: "This Demoalbum was released in 1999 and recorded in my homestudio, except some vocals and keyboardparts. The album was a promotion cd and was sent to recordcompanies and people in the musicbusiness. Enjoy these soundclips and full songs from the album"

I'm sure that some copies have made it on eBay ... But we're off-topic ... Wink
