Sometimes guitarists get stuck in a rut and feel like they're playing the same riffs and ideas over and over again without enough variation, and then the writer's block hits. Switching over to a different instrument——like keyboards for instance——can really help unblock a guitarist, leading to new and different ideas because you can play with different sounds, chord voicings, voice leading, and techniques than you might reach for on the guitar. Then you can transcribe them to guitar and get something different than what you would have originally gone for.

So, great creative tool for guitarists stuck in a rut, looking for new ideas. Very Happy

Cool! Thank you very much!!! :-)

Ummm... so like the picture and the caption is maybe you have more options to do anything easier with keyboard like automate it so it loops... which of course, saves your little fingers and won't give you hang nails!!! (even if you are an alien and actually have 7 fingers on one hand!)

;-)

maybe his shoulder is tired of having the guitar-strap hanging on it and he wants to sit by the keys for a while Laughing or maybe he is tired of strings snapping all the time? Shocked

Well spotted, Shredder. These are indeed vintage keyboards. Very early (and damn expensive) synths and a whole bunch of them. They are the stuff that Jean-Michel Jarre would have (and maybe still) would use.

The story goes like this. A friend of Ronni had a collection of about 15 rare and vintage keyboards in storage in Spain. Instead of allowing them to collect dust, and possibly get damaged (old electronics withers without power), Ronni allowed them refuge on the farm. So Keyboard Heaven is now at Toten. Right where the devil of guitars is plotting his next evil. Possibly while eating "Mørkets Fyrstekake" and drinking "Helve-te".

As for the temptations, Ronni used tape to keep a few keys pressed on a few of the keyboards, then he left the room to allow the randomness of the sounds to settle for a while. Then he'd come back and listen to the sounds he created. I think he thinks it's fun. Ronni have always had an organ and a piano in the studio, which he at times sat down and played on. But nothing would compare to playing on these beauties. On a personal note, I am looking forward to my next visit.

Very nice indeed!
I miss my synths in this collection.
I have a Grey matter E!Yamaha DXII, and a Ensoniq VFX, together with a couple of rack- synths. Pretty vintage, I would say.

More Bass!
