Thanks guys...err...mange takk? (I think I got that right!). btw, Bajas, I hope you're still going to let me know if and when you'll be in New York this summer. Then I just have to find the money and wheels to make it over the border. I'm just over the mountain(s) from upstate NY...Albany, to be specific. In fact, my brother and his wife only get tv stations broadcasting from Albany (they live in southern Vermont: beautiful area!). Don't forget me, since I didn't make it to Norway for that fan shindig last year (I even had a ticket!!).

Chris, we are way overdue for a reunion. It has been just about 10 years. I know, Flap and I are talking reunion. The gal he's seeing is a killer vocalist from up this way, moving down to NJ with him. Without knowing this, her and I have talked on the phone about the possibility of doing some writing and recording. Now, as it turns out, I may soon be heading down to NJ to write and record with both of them. Plus, he'll be trying to get Kevin and Howard up there. It'll be an all-around mini-reunion of the original US TNT convention attenders.

We should re-record a couple of TNT songs (re-arranged a little, of course!) and post them up here on the interweb for free download. I've been talking with people on and off about doing a full project like that for a long time. TNT fan tribute: by fans, for fans. But it's really hard to get people on board.

I'm also starting to get busy again writing for a project I've been working on (on and off), and I'm always looking for partners in crime. More on that as it develops. I need some tablas! Very Happy

Yepp, a reunion would be fun. I haven't talked to those folks in years, you're the only one I've maintained any contact with. A fan tribute would be fun, and I'd be in if we can pull it together.

Talk soon....

That's a Hamburguitar, by Bernie Hamburger in Las Vegas, NV. He built the infamous 1/4-stepper, the 12-string used on Angel's Ride, and one or two of the old "rune" guitars. Then Ronni went and stuck Kramer logos on the headstocks, erroneously leading people to believe that his guitars were built by Kramer, including the 1/4-stepper (a little aside for you guitar buffs).

That one is a combo of many things found in the Ronni-style guitars (although my next one will be more of MY OWN devising!). Seymour Duncan Custom (bridge); EMG SA-1 (neck); 2-way mini-toggle switch; Floyd Rose locking tremolo; scallop from 15th fret up; flat black paint job, with checkerboard variation; checker mother of pearl inlays; Fender-style headstock. The body is basic Fender shape, but with a little Bernie Hamburger variation (longer horns). Top quality electronics, woods, etc. The guy builds excellent, high-quality work, and he loves what he does.

Thanks. I'm working on ideas for combining a semi-microtonal guitar (by John Catler) with various ideas for pick-ups, electronics, and gadgetry geared toward bringing out more Middle Eastern/Egyptian sounds. But that one in the video is my baby right now. I have one identical to the 1/4-stepper, but with normal frets (even has Ronni's name on headstock). I would do things much differently now.

Cheers

Just a Rat2 through a Marshall AVT-50 1x12, and a BOSS RRV-10. Very basic. I'll be doing another video soon, but through the same pedalboard setup Ronni uses, and through B-52 2x12 (two speakers makes such a difference).

Thanks again, and thanks for the tabs. You got me to pull out my Yamaha cd thingy that slows down anything you want in a song without warble or pitch loss, so I've been figuring out whatever catches my ear while plucking on my acoustic and coughing up a lung (or two) with this crazy cold (and I'm back in school before you know it).
