I'd like to, but I'm having all kinds of technical problems, so until I straighten those out, I'm hesitant. I'm also trying to invest in my home studio...and I'm poor right now! Still, it would be nice, even if only to purchase some individual lessons.

Its a great product!!

And the online tuition sessions with the man himself is an amazing opportunity.

There's a load of stuff revealed about his playing and equipment and shown in close up too. With tabulature to go with everything played also!

Cheers

For me, the free video download (Useless Piece of Crap— Very Happy) doesn't play right; freezes, huge pixels, different speeds. The audio freezes or doesn't line up with video. I can pause the video, and once in a while, get a perfectly clear picture, but there's often large pixels on pause too. I downloaded and installed Sibelius, but that doesn't seem to function either. When I get the time, I will contact the IGA about the technical problems.

Although I couldn't see the video, I could hear it, and after pausing, saw the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phaser, which is used in some of the kookier moments; I'd thought it was a tremolo. I have the MXR Blue Box already, and that's a crazy little beast with a mind of its own. I also have the 1st generation (black) Digitech Whammy II, which is a fun toy.

The new pedal I personally want (really bad) is the Catalinbread Ottava Magus, which is an octave up fuzz, a lá Hendrix, and can sound a lot like a ring modulator or—with little fuzz, low volume, and no distortion—a sitar. I'm buggin' for one of those right now. I also just won a second BOSS SD-2 as a back-up for my main pedal; more money.

I'm very curious to see how people review the other videos. I'm skeptical in some regards because of the price (which is almost $300 US), combined with all the problems I'm having with the format. Other than that, if anyone visits the chat there, I'm planning on hanging around tomorrow to see if anyone stops in because I'll just be sitting around doing some studying at home; boring. It'd be cool to talk to some musicians.

Code:
Youtube video: very standard Ronni clichés.  I'm sure the IGA videos are rife with them.

For that first lick, just use muting and alternate picking combined with hammer-ons and pull-offs,
then apply it to whatever key you're playing in and move up the fretboard like a crazy person.

--------------------------
--------------------------
--0-2-4-0-2h4p2p0-/-/-/---
--------------------------
--------------------------
--------------------------

Then tremolo pick this blues scale figure.

---------------------------------
--11/12-15-12\11/12-15-12-/-/-/--
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------

The last part is just picking the last two notes and bending the note at the 15th fret.
I've been hearing variations on that lick since the "Forever Shine On" solo.

Of course, on the IGA site, you'll get more official tab, which should be nice; I hate this "typewriter tab" because it looks so cheesy.  I downloaded Sibelius, but it didn't work on my computer at all.  Nothing on the IGA site was compatible with my computer, so I don't think I'll be taking a trip down that road at this time.
