On Sweden Rock Festival in 2005, the only rain during the festival came during Yngwie's 3rd encore (all of them unrequested by the audience). I think it was God's way of telling him to get the hell off the stage... There can be only one ...

The infamous "The fucking fury" plane incident, his involvement with Jorn Lande and others has left me to believe that Yngwie just is a loonie, best left to his own devices and in a straight-jacket.

Yngwie has made some unbelievable pieces of music..
Icarus dream suite, black star etc.
He got HUGE ego, but who cares? Me makes(or shall we say made..?)
damn good music and there's no doubt he's an extremly skilled and gifted musician.

I'm not trying to say that Yngwie is the best or something.. I know that he has lost some of his magic touch lately, but still, he is an amazing artist and deserves some respect on the net!

he practicaly made a new genre!

I agree I love Yngwies tone. His slow stuff is really nice and there is no doubting he can rip.

He also came up with an original style.

The other thing I like about him is that he has always stuck to what he does.
He hasn't changed his style to sell more records.

Yngwie is still Yngwie.

But I think the video I put a link to is a great bit of fun, I found it really funny.

His character does set himself up for this type of thing, though!

But no doubt he is a fantastic musician.

I'm afraid there is no connection between awesome guitar skills and a likeable personality.

I have never met Mr. Malmsteen, but he sure knows how to handle a guitar. Even though he might be less likeable than someone would wish, it does not make him a lesser guitarplayer.
